Wonderland Cave: As you tour Wonderland Cave, you will see more variety and display of crystal formations that in any other cavern in the Midwest. Hidden for 300 million years, the cave was opened to the public in 1929. Since then, millions of visitors have explored and learned about it georgic wonder, and thrilled to its exquisite beauty. Tours leave approximately every 20 minutes. Courteous guides, schooled in cave geology will guide you at a leisurely pace, share with you the interesting history of the cave, and explain the many different formations along the way. The temperature is always a pleasant 47 degrees, so a light wrap is recommended. You will also want to wear comfortable walking shoes.
