Ride Preview: From narrow twists of asphalt between towering pines to endless stretches of open road

along grassy meadows, this ride is the ultimate northern to southern Hills experience. Start your ride through historic Deadwood on your way to one of the most popular hangouts during Sturgis Bike Week, Cheyenne Crossing.
Continue through the rolling hills of Wyoming to Newcastle  and onto Highway 16 to Jewel Cave National Monument.  Named for the jewel-like nailhead and dog-tooth spires, Jewel Cave is the second largest cave in the US.  Keep on Highway 16A for a bite to eat in Custer and on through South Dakota’s premier state park famous for its bison herds, other wildlife and historic sites. There is much to see and good times to be had all along this ride. Bring your camera and don’t pet the Buffalo!
    

Directions: (Round Trip from Sturgis to Rapid City) Head through Boulder Canyon 12 miles on Highway 14A to Deadwood. Continue through Lead three miles to Cheyenne Crossing and head south on Highway 85 for 27miles and arrive at Four Corners. From Four Corners continue to head south on Highway 85 to Newcastle. Head east on Highway 16 go 27 miles to Custer. Ride through Custer State Park
for 26 miles until you reach Hermosa. Head north on Highway 79 for 17 miles and arrive in Rapid City.
