3. Get a Taste of the Wild West
Get your Iron Horse rolling and step back in time, Hoss.. we’ve got Old West and Native American Heritage to spare..
Cool Places: Check out Bear Butte State Park east of Sturgis, climb aboard Hill City’s 1880 Train, see the Wild Mustangs of the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary, or visit the Buffalo herds in Custer State Park.
Don’t Miss: Devil’s Tower.
4. Have a drink, you look parched.
Quench your thirst at one or more of the famous, and infamous, watering holes.
Cool Places: One-Eyed Jack’s, Loud American Roadhouse, Charlie’s, the Full Throttle Saloon, the Knuckle Saloon, the Dungeon Bar, the Broken Spoke Saloon, the Sidehack Saloon, the Fireside & the Oasis.

5. Attend a Concert.
It doesn’t matter if your thing is country, or classic rock, or heavy metal, or southern-fried, or grunge, or whatever… don’t worry, if it rocks, it’s here.

7. Attend the Races.

Don’t Miss: Drag Races at the Sturgis Dragway
8. Get your Red, White & Bluejeans on, and Get Patriotic.
Cool Places: See the statues along Presidential Walk in downtown Rapid City, the City of Presidents, or see the 20’ busts of all 42 presidents at President’s Park on US 85 just South of Lead & Deadwood, or visit the National Cemetery, at Exit 34 on I-90.
Don’t Miss: Mount Rushmore.
9. Ride the Hills
Get out and ride. If you need an excuse or a destination, check out our Top Ten Rides, but whatever you do, get on that machine and go, and see why the Black Hills are world-famous for sweet stretches of blacktop through beautiful, scenic country.
Cool Places: From the Badlands to Hulett, from Wall Drug to Sundance, up I-90 and down US 385, up Boulder Canyon and down Spearfish Canyon, we’ve got rides and scenery and nooks and crannies and holes-in-the-wall and quaint little niches and rowdy old b.. abes. We’ve got big forests and small towns, wide open plains and cliff-hemmed canyons, we’ve got a hundred roadkill cafes to fill your belly and wet your whistle, and all you’ve got to do to see it all is that thing you love to do.. ride, baby, ride.

10. Avoid Jail.
